Wilhelm Siegfreid Olsen III, a resident of Penacook, NH, passed on February 8, 2018 surrounded by family, after a long illness.
He was born in Hartford Connecticut on August 17, 1958, the beloved only son of Wilhelm S. and Ceola A. (Tingley) Olsen Jr. He grew up in Bristol, CT and attended Bristol Central HS. He then moved to Henniker, NH in 1979.
To write about a man who personified such grace, compassion, caring and gentleness as much as "Billy-O", as many knew him, would be to write a million words and not scratch the surface of who he was. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed kayaking, fishing, cycling, Nascar but he was the ultimate Patriots fan!
He loved with everything he had and had a heart so big it could have filled a room and then some. He lived to make others smile and give anything he could and not expect anything in return. He was the rock and strength for so many, but especially his 10 sisters. He loved spending time with his granddaughters and taught them what it was to love unconditionally, live life to its fullest and smile and have fun as often as you can. The legacy Billy is leaving will ruminate with family and friends for many years to come.
He worked at Yankee Book Peddler and Concord Monitor for many years, until his passing. He is survived by nine of his sisters; Linda LaMarre, Jacquelyn Faubert, Susan Olsen, Barbara Lakin, Pauline Malin, Ellen Kiefer, Jeannie Clorite, Dondi Atamian and Nancy McKenzie and predeceased by his sister Clara Olsen. He has 4 nieces and 10 nephews. He has two step-children Rachel Cray and Bradley Caldwell and three granddaughters Mckenzee, Alexia and Lennox, whom his world revolved around.
A memorial visiting hour will be held on Friday, February 16th from 11 AM to 12 Noon at the Waters Funeral Home, 50 South Main Street, Concord.
A Celebration of Life will follow at 12 Noon in the chapel of Waters Funeral Home.
Everyone is encouraged to wear their favorite Patriots gear in tribute to Billy's life-long dedication to his favorite team.
