Sandra G. Hutcheson, age 86, of Running Hill Rd. S. Portland ME, died Thursday, July 18th, in Scarborough ME.  She was born in Concord, daughter of the late Joseph and Lillian (Tranfalia) Garofoli.  She was a graduate of Mt. Saint Mary Seminary and Lasell College.

After graduating from college, she moved to Washington, DC where she worked for the US Senate Labor Committee. During this time she worked on the 'Poverty Project' which is known today as the Head Start Program.  She then travelled to California where she held various positions in public relations and sales, eventually coming back east to Massachusetts for a position with the Boston Garden.  Sandra was extremely proud to be the first female Director of Sales for the Boston Garden, a position she held for over a decade.  She ended her career in real estate before retiring to Florida.

Sandra spent many years of her retirement in Palm Beach Gardens where she could spend her days on the golf course and evenings attending parties with her friends.  She loved a 'good party', especially when there was a theme and she could dress up in crazy hats and accessories.  Once her health began to fail, she moved back to New England to be closer to family.

Sandra was predeceased by her sister; D. Virginia Salotti and brother; Joseph Garofoli.
She is survived by her brother; Robert Garofoli of Rockland, Maine and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday July 29 at 10AM in the chapel of Blossom Hill Cemetery, 207 N. State St. Concord.

Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
