Obituary

Rhonda Pinard Murray, 75, stepped away from a body that no longer served her, into the loving embrace of her eternal Father, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, April 9, 2026.

Rhonda was born on April 21,1950 in Saint Johnsbury, Vermont. She is predeceased by her parents, Maurice and Elsie (Ford) Pinard, her brothers Royce and Roger Pinard, her stillborn son Nathan William Murray, whom she has waited to embrace for almost fifty years, and the father of her three children, Chester Murray of Columbia, NJ.

She is survived by her two daughters, Melonie Luck and her husband James of Morehouse, NY, and Katy Murray of Concord, NH, as well as three grandchildren, whom she loved dearly: James Luck, Jr. and his wife Autumn of PA and their son Jonathan, and Keturah and Elorah Luck, both of Morehouse, NY and her loving sister, Rita Pinard of St. Johnsbury, VT as well as many nieces and nephews.

To know Rhonda was to love her. A longtime resident of Pittsfield, NH, she was a member of Center Barnstead Christian Church and Park Street Baptist Church, and a longtime volunteer at the Pittsfield Clothes Closet. She spent her final three years developing new friendships while fostering lifelong friendships at Merrimack County Nursing Home. She will be missed dearly by her many  good friends, all of whom contributed to the woman she was throughout her life.

A natural born artist, Rhonda was known for her uncanny ability to turn anything into an art form. Everything had potential, and nothing was trash in her mind. In her later years, she enjoyed painting pet portraits on rocks and wood cookies, where she sold her work at the MCNH gift shop. She enjoyed her weekly jam sessions with Mike White, playing completely by ear with no formal training. She played piano, lap harp, dulcimer, steel tongue drum, 12 string guitar, and ukulele. She absolutely adored and cherished her best friend Diane Lamott.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name (in the form of art or music supplies) to your local school, nursing home or community recreation center.  Or to assist the family with funeral expenses please visit https://gofund.me/41190518c

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 1 PM at the Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen, NH, so her friends and many caregivers could attend. A private burial of ashes is scheduled on her son's would-be 50th birthday, July 11, 2026, in Waterford, VT.
