Obituary

Patricia L. (Hayes) Bailey of Concord went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at the
Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord. She was the eldest daughter of the late James H. and Claire (Short)
Hayes.
She was married to David R. Bailey and they celebrated their 60 th anniversary in January. Pat was a 1957
graduate of Concord High School and attended Lasell College in the Boston area. After college, she was
employed by the former United Life & Accident Insurance Company. She also later worked as a teller for the
former Concord National Bank. She was a communicant of Christ the King Parish.
She devoted her life to raising her daughter. Once grandchildren entered Pat's life, she continued to give of
herself. Known as Mimi to her grandchildren, she became involved with their activities and took great
pleasure in bringing them on vacations throughout the year. Above all; her deep love of, involvement with,
and pride in her family was the joy of her life.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter LeeAnn (Bailey) Neumann and her husband James
of Doylestown, PA, and her two grandchildren, Audrey Hayes Neumann of Spartanburg, SC and Bradley
James Neumann of Columbus, OH. Her spirit will be with them always.
She is also survived by her two brothers, Robert C. Hayes and his wife Alia of Concord, and James H. Hayes Jr.
and his wife Wendy of Strafford, NH; three sisters, Gail Hayes Kelly of New Castle, NH, Margaret Hayes Brown
and her husband C. Thomas of Concord, and Elizabeth Hayes Jennings and her husband William of Bedford,
NH; several cousins and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 from 5 to 7 pm at Waters Funeral Home, 50 South
Main Street, Concord.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 10 am at Christ the King
Parish, 72 South Main Street, Concord. Burial will be at a later date in Blossom Hill Cemetery in Concord, NH.
The Waters Funeral Home in Concord is in charge of the arrangements.
