Mrytle M. "Myrt" Hoard, age 83 of Pembroke, NH passed away at the Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen, NH on July 30,2022.   Born in Halifax Nova Scotia on July 14 ^th ,1939 the daughter of the late John and Mildred (Wiswell) Byrne.   She was the youngest of 9 brothers and sisters.

Myrt was married to the late Howard E. Hoard, and lived in Charlestown MA, and later in Weare and Goffstown NH. Eventually, living in Bristol NH, and finally moving to Pembroke NH to be closer to family.  Myrt worked in various manufacturing and retail positions while raising her daughter.

Family, the ocean, and the Red Sox were the most important things to her.   She and her daughter Susan loved to have mother/daughter weekends to Ogunquit, ME to get away, listen to the waves, and dine out.  Myrt loved to read, crochet, and knit.

She leaves behind her daughter Susan Hunter and her husband Jerry Hunter of Pembroke, NH.   Grandson Brian Hunter of Penacook NH, Grandson Eric Hunter of Grantham, NH. , and her one surviving sibling Margaret Borgal of Halifax Nova Scotia.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday August 3 from 5 to 7PM at Waters Funeral Home, 50 South Main St. Concord NH 03301

Funeral service will be held on Thursday August 4 at 11:15AM in the Chapel of the Waters Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at the New Hampshire state veterans cemetery in Boscawen at 1PM.
