Mary (Lugg) Foote
Bow – Mary (Lugg) Foote, age 91, died on Tuesday April 29 th at Concord Hospital.
She was born in Concord, the daughter of the late George and Rose A. (Mooney) Lugg. She was a graduate of St. John's High School Class of 1939.
Mary was employed by the JC Penney Co. for over 30 years, retiring as an assistant manager. She loved spending time with her family, beach combing at York Beach with grandchildren and looked forward to trips to Twin Rivers Casino along with her brother Gene and his wife Nancy.
She enjoyed reading historic novels, building jigsaw puzzles, doing counted cross stitch and working in her perennial garden. During her lifetime, she traveled to England, Hawaii, Prince Edward Island to name a few.
Mary was an avid bowler and a volunteer in local area nursing homes for many years. She was an active member of Christ the King Parish, St. John Church, serving on the Bereavement Committee, working at the Christmas Fair and taking part in Bible Study Groups.
She was predeceased by her husband Paul G. Foote, a son of Gerald T. Foote, her sister Elizabeth Velma Moran, two brothers, William Vincent and George Andrew Lugg, and her grandson Mark Alosa.
She is survived by her 3 children, Paul G. Foote Jr and his wife Judy of Cherryfield Maine and Florida, Carol F. Alosa and her husband Joseph of Concord, and David R. Foote and his wife Kathleen of Bow; her daughter-in-law, Ethel Waterman of Concord; 18 grandchildren; great children and great great grandchildren children; her siblings, Estelle Colby, Charles Eugene Lugg, Lenita Hoglund, and John Lugg, and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Merrimack County Nursing Home and Concord Hospital for their excellent care and compassion.
Memorial visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 4 to 7 pm at the Waters Funeral Home, 50 South Main Street, Concord, NH,
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday 5/5 at 10am at Christ the King, St. Johns Church, 72 South Main Street, Concord, NH
Burial will follow in the Evans Cemetery, Bow, NH
