Obituary

Martha "Marci" Shalley Robertson Alosa passed away peacefully at her vacation home in Key West, Florida on January 5th. Marci was born on December 16, 1964 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. The daughter of the late Richard (Dick) and Nancy Robertson, she attended schools in Proctor, Vermont, before moving to New Hampshire and graduating from Concord High School in 1983. She majored in fine art at Trinity College in Burlington, VT. In 1990 she married her high school classmate and love of her life, Joseph (Jay) Alosa, Jr. and together, they raised their family in Concord, New Hampshire.

Marci was exceptionally talented in any medium of art, but excelled as a metal and glass smith. Her lampwork beads were incredible works of art, and she was sought after for commissioned pieces of jewelry. Family and friends were often gifted with her beautiful work. She followed her passion for art, and took classes at Manchester Institute of Art where she amazed staff with her ability to master any medium. Marci's creativity showed in every aspect of her life. She loved working outside, and was never intimidated by any project she imagined. By herself, she installed a brick walkway one year, and a koi pond another year. She loved interior design, and left behind many colorful spaces for her family to cherish in Concord, New Hampshire, York Beach, Maine, and Key West, Florida. She graced many family properties with art installments of intricate paintings on floors, walls, and furniture showcasing her talent and wonderful sense of humor.  In addition, she was an incredible cook. Christmas Eve dinners with the family will remain favorite memories.

Marci became instant friends with most people she met. She was a kind and welcoming person, and people were naturally drawn to her. Marci had a generous heart and took great consideration when deciding on the perfect gift for someone she loved.

She will be remembered as a dedicated, loving mother and wife, a loyal sister, and a caring friend. She will be dearly missed by family and countless friends.

Marci is predeceased by her mother, Nancy Robertson, her father, Richard Robertson, her father-in-law, Joseph Alosa, Sr., and her brother-in-law, Mark Alosa.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph R. Alosa, Jr., of Concord, NH, her daughter, Alexandra Munson and her husband Phill Munson, of Newton, MA; her son, Joseph Alosa and his fiancé Claudia Maynard of Biddeford, ME; her son, Cameron Alosa and his fiancé Dez Jones, of Los Angeles, CA; her brother, Scott Robertson and his partner Melissa Cioffi of Rutland, VT; her sister, Tricia Marden, and her partner Chip Perkins of Concord, NH; her grandson, Blake Munson of Newton, MA; her mother-in-law, Carol Alosa of Concord, NH; her sisters-in-law, Denise Alosa of Burlington, VT and MaryBeth Alosa of Pembroke, NH; her nephews, Jack Alosa and his partner, Holly Hawkins, of Scarborough, England; Riggs Alosa of Manchester, NH; Ian Marden and his wife, Kelsey Marden of York, ME; Ryan Marden and his wife, Aliah Marden of Rochester, NH; her nieces, Maddy Alosa of Concord, NH; and Meghan Mathews and her husband, Chris Mathews of Manchester, NH; as well as numerous cousins and extended family.
