Obituary

Leslie Ann Cronin Boylan, 74 of Bow,NH passed away peacefully on Thursday December 7, 2023  next to her loving husband Michael on after battling a prolonged illness.

Born in Brooklyn, NY on December 30, 1948 and the eldest of four children for Agnes and Richard Cronin.  She was

fiercely independent, a voracious reader of books, a lifelong learner, a passionate New York sports fan, and a dedicated law enforcement officer. She started her career in law by becoming a police officer with the Nassau County Police Department retiring as a Sargent after 20 years. Upon retiring, she and her husband Michael relocated to Bow to continue to raise their children. Leslie continued to serve her community while in Bow serving in many committees and becoming the supervisor of checklist for some time.

Leslie's focus of her life was always her family and friends.  She could often be found watching her children, and grandchildren play the sports they loved; and quickly grew to be called "Grandma" by everyone who knew her.  Her gruff and straightfoward demeanor mixed with a thick Long Island accent always made for hours of entertainment. She was quick with a one liner or a lesson that always showed how much she loved everyone that she was with. She made the Boylan household a must stop at for all friends and family. Her iconic phrases will be said for years to come and bring joy to all those around her.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years Michael Boylan, her daughter Erin Boylan her husband William Marois of Manchester NH. Her son Brian Boylan and wife Katherine of Andover,MA. Step son Michael Boylan,Jr and wife Heidi of Manchester NH and Step Daughter Nancy Tomich and husband Michael of Garden City NY.
