Judith A LaChance, longtime resident of Concord, New Hampshire, passed away at the age of 81 on Saturday November 16, 2024, at All American Assisted Living in Kingston, New Hampshire.
Judith was born in Franklin, New Hampshire and was the daughter of the late Richard and Marion (Ayotte) Thornton. She was a graduate of Franklin High School. She later attended secretarial school and worked briefly at the Pentagon in Washington D.C.
In June 1968, Judith was married to Raymond H LaChance of Franklin, New Hampshire. The couple started their lives together in Franklin, and eventually moved to Concord, New Hampshire. They enjoyed summers at their camp on Ossipee Lake, gardening, and spending time with family. Throughout her years, Judith was extensively involved in St. Paul's Church in Franklin and Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Concord where she enjoyed teaching CCD.
Judith is pre-deceased by her husband of 55 years, Raymond H LaChance. She is survived by her son, Raymond R LaChance and his wife, Tracy, of Fremont, New Hampshire; her two grandchildren, Mark H LaChance and Karina A LaChance, also of Fremont, New Hampshire; her sister, Sister Claire Thornton, PhD, of Manchester, New Hampshire; and her brother, Richard Benjamin Thornton, of Concord, New Hampshire.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 6, at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Waters Funeral Home, 50 South Main Street, Concord, New Hampshire, followed by graveside services at 2:00 pm at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, New Hampshire.
