Johnathan David
"Johnny" Lessard
August 6, 2025
Penacook — Johnathan David "Johnny" Lessard, 20, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, leaving behind a life that was full of energy, laughter, and love.Born in Concord, NH, to Joseph G. Lessard and Amanda (Thrush) Lessard, Johnny grew up with a big heart and an even bigger smile. He lived life his own way — fearless, determined, and always ready for the next adventure. Whether it was lending a hand to a friend, making a stranger laugh, or fixing a truck just because someone needed help, Johnny gave of himself without hesitation.
He loved driving his truck with the windows down, "dumping coal," and he could spend hours working under the hood — whether it was his own vehicle or someone else's. Johnny's passions didn't stop there; he was an athlete at heart, playing football in high school alongside his brother Dylan, and finding joy in ice hockey, snowmobiling, and auto racing. These hobbies reflected his adventurous nature and his love for anything fast, loud, and full of life.
Johnny's light will be deeply missed by his mother, Amanda Lessard of Penacook; his father, Joseph Lessard of Merrimack; brothers Jerry Lessard of Franklin, Dylan Lessard of Loudon, and Jayson Lessard of Penacook; sisters Sierra and Isabella Lessard of Penacook; and his girlfriend, Emerson Swislosky of Webster. He also leaves behind his maternal grandparents, David and Deborah Newell of Freedom; paternal grandparents, Patrick and Susan Lessard of Concord; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces Hadley and Layla, and a nephew Koe who all loved him dearly.
Johnny's story is one of joy, generosity, and a willingness to live life with no regrets. His laughter, his helping hands, and the way he made people feel seen will be remembered always.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, August 13, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Waters Funeral Home, 50 South Main Street, Concord. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, August 14, at 10:30 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 180 Loudon Road, Concord. Burial will follow at Blossom Hill Cemetery in Concord, with a reception and time of fellowship at Immaculate Heart of Mary.
