Obituary

Bow, Helen Lucienne  (Gamache) Rivet age 89, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Saturday September 21, 2024 after a brief battle with cancer.

She was born on May 16,1935 in Goffstown NH. The daughter of the late Arthur and Fabiola Gamache.

She attended school at St Jean the Baptist in Manchester NH, then made a career in the Food Service Industry. Many years she worked in the cafeterias run by the NH Association for the Blind, where she was known for her homemade meals, soups and deserts.

Helen was also a Cub Scout and Brownie Girl Scout assistant leader. She enjoyed making and selling crafts with her daughter Jackie for several years. Her last job was at Scrappin Soul Sisters, where she learned another creative hobby, which she brought to the Bow Young at Heart Club. She was a member from 2015 to 2022 and made scrapbooks for a couple of years while a member.

After retirement she was known to have her grandchildren and a couple of the neighborhood children's kids at her home where she helped out with watching and playing with them.

She was always doing something when not enjoying the family camp in Columbia NH, visiting the beach and Disney World. Between puzzles, quilting and crocheting afghans, she could be seen daily walking.

Helen is predeceased by her loving husband Raymond G Rivet of over 50 years, where they welcomed four children into their lives.

She is survived by her son Raymond Rivet and his wife Laurie of Concord NH. Her daughter Jacqueline Young of Loudon. Her daughter Annette Rivet and her partner Peter Emanuel of Bow NH. Her son Kenneth Rivet and his wife Shannon of Foley AL. Nine Grandchildren, and Seven Great Grandchildren, sisters; Rita Chadwick of Bow, Theresa Rivet of Pittsfield, brother; Reynold Gamache of Goffstown.

She was predeceased by brothers; Lucien, Robert, Arthur, George and Edward, sisters; Yvette, Bertha, and Lillian

She was a gentle soul and will be dearly missed by those who's lives she touched. May she rest in peace.

Memorial visiting hours will be held on Wednesday October 2, 2024 from 3pm to 6pm at Waters Funeral Home 50 South Main St. Concord NH.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebtated on Thursday October 3, 2024 at 10am at Holy Rosary Church 21 Main St. Hooksett.

There will be a luncheon in the hall downstairs at the church to follow.
