Frederick "Bud"
Irving Gannon Jr.
February 28, 2024
Frederick Irving "Bud" Gannon (June 5th, 1932 - February 28th, 2024) 91*
Frederick I. Gannon, fondly known to those who loved him as Bud, was born on June 5th, 1932 to Frederick I. Gannon Sr and Ruth V. Nelson in Providence, R.I.
He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served four years. After an honorable discharge in 1960, he worked at several places before his creative side led to him starting his own sign company: Gannon Signs.
He met Frances Margaret "Peggy" Brammall and the adventures of Bud and Peggy began. They got married in 1962 at St. Kevin's in Warwick, R.I. Soon their road trips would have the welcomed addition of their 3 sons: Daniel, Christopher and Keith.
After retiring, he and Peggy moved to Weare, New Hampshire. Peggy remained the love of his life even after her unexpected demise in 1998.
Everyone who knew Bud loved his positive demeanor. He always saw the bright side of things, loved eating out and sharing a meal with those he cared for. Anyone who met him could not have asked for a more genuine, gentle, kind and caring soul. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.
Frederick was preceded in death by his brother Arthur and more recently his sister Elenor.
Burial was held in the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen N.H. on March 6th 2024.
