Frances Tirrell
Boscawen – Frances Tirrell, age 89, of Alton Woods Drive passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday September 15 at Merrimack County Nursing Home.
Born in Haverhill, MA the daughter of the late Benjamin and Yvonne Craigue. She was a graduate of Concord High School class of 1944.
Frances worked as a mental health worker at the NH State Hospital for over 37 years. She had also worked at the former NH Highway Hotel for 20 years.
She loved Bingo, and was an Avid Red Sox fan who enjoyed attending games at Fenway. She was past treasurer of the Legion of Guardsman and a recipient of the Heritage Foundation Award.
Frances was predeceased by her husband of 38 years, Harold W. Tirrell Sr; her son in law Paul E. Cantwell; her brother Richard Craigue and a sister Eleanor McJury.
She is survived by her children, Harold W. Tirrell Jr. and his wife Mary Ann of Concord, Sandra L. Tirrell of Loudon, Nancy M. Cantwell of Concord and Richard B. Tirrell of Concord; 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren.
Memorial visiting hours will held on Sunday, September 21 from 5-7 PM at the Waters Funeral Home, 50 South Main Street.
Graveside memorial services will be held on Monday at 11 am at Blossom Hill Cemetery, North State Street, Concord.
