Ellen (Downing) Waite

Concord- Ellen (Downing) Waite, age 81, died Thursday June 6, 2013 at Concord Hospital.
She was born in Concord, NH daughter of the late Paul and Mabel (Ford) Downing.
Ellen graduated from St. John's School, as valedictorian class of 1949. She was a graduate of Manhattenville College of the Sacred Heart in NY with a degree in Music and Arts. She received her Master's Degree in English at Boston College.
She taught in Dayton, OH was a professor at Mt. St. Mary's College in Hooksett and taught Music in the Concord Schools.
She was predeceased by her husband Edward O. Waite who passed away in 1996. She is survived by her sister, Theresa A. Downing of Concord, Step children and cousins.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, (6/10) from 4-7 PM Waters Funeral Home, 50 South Main Street, Concord.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 10 AM at the St. John's Church.
Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery.
