She was a graduate of Concord Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse for more than twenty five years. Her career found her nurturing the sick in Idaho, Indiana, and Pennsylvania, before returning to New Hampshire. Her skills ranged from the nursing home, to the intensive care unit, and to the emergency room. She retired from the Elliot Hospital.
For the remainder of her life Ann remained close to her nursing friends and classmates, enjoyed playing cards, camping and visiting with her family in Lemington. After retirement, Ann developed a passion for antiques. Her treasures included hat pins, old toys and all things collectible.
Ann is survived by her husband of sixty-two years, Thomas Hamilton Balon Sr. of Concord; her sons, Thomas H. Balon Jr. and his wife Kirsten of Portsmouth; and Brad Balon and his wife Karen Elizabeth of Pembroke; a daughter, Michelle Balon Demers and her husband Raymond of Penacook; two grandchildren, Zachariah Balon and his wife Brittany, and Bryce Couture; and one great-granddaughter, Aubriella Elizabeth Balon; two sisters Myra Ellingwood, and Alice Noyes; and a brother Joseph Daley Jr. and his wife Barbara; two sisters-in-law, Jeanne (Fauteux) Daley and Louise (Gould) Daley; many cousins, nieces and nephews, and her beloved dogs Sadie and Sophie.
Ann was predeceased by two brothers, Paul and Edward Daley and two brothers-in-law, John Noyes, and Reginald Ellingwood.
