Dorothea Sheppard Allen passed away September 2, 2022 in Lewiston, Maine.

The love of her life, Benjamin Allen Sr. passed away prior, but she
never stopped loving him. Dottie as she was known to family and
friends was born on September 19th, 1949. She lived a very full life
and was known for doing everything she could for her family.

Dottie had one son, Ben Jr, whom she took under her wing and was
always his biggest support system. The bond between these two was
unbreakable even when he relocated to North Carolina.

Throughout her life, she was employed as a nurses aide which was a
good fit because she loved helping others. In her personal time she
could always be found camping which is where she felt most at peace.
Dottie made many friends throughout her life and it was evident with
the friends that became informal family. She will be forever missed
and loved.

She is survived by her son, Ben Allen and his wife, 2 grandchildren
Kailyn and Carter Allen; two sisters Mary Doyon and Donna Pothier of
Machias, ME; and 2 brothers, Clifton Sheppard of Raymond NH, Robert
Sheppard of Oklahoma.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 22, at 11:30 AM
in the Chapel at the NH Veterans Cemetery, DW Highway, Boscawen.
