Dorothea "Sissy" Flanders Blackie, age 68, of Concord passed away on January 27th, 2025.

She was predeceased by her life partner of 30 years, Bruce Blackie of Concord; her parents Dorothy (Huntoon) and Harland Flanders.  Dorothea was the youngest of nine children (all are predeceased), George Huntoon, Dolores LaRock, Dona Virgin, Bruce Flanders, Robert Flanders, Deborah, Helene Lorden, Harland Jr Flanders.

She is survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

She enjoyed spending time with Bruce, her cat Sarah, going out to eat, gardening and arts and crafts.

She was a lifelong resident of Concord, NH, and was proud to support her local small businesses including Constantly Pizza, The Prescription Center and Gibson's Book Store.

In lieu of flowers, we'd be grateful for donations in honor of Dorothea to Community Bridges 162 Pembroke Rd, Concord, NH 03301.  The love, support, and friendships she found through their services meant so much to her and brought real joy and comfort throughout her life.

Burial will be on Wednesday, July 30th at 10 AM in Maplewood Cemetery, Salisbury NH.
