Born January 22, 1949 in Plymouth, NH, the daughter of Ardelle (Benton) and the late Russell M. Gilman of Thornton, NH. Donna graduated from Plymouth High School, obtained a BSA from Bentley University and an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University.

Killion, Jr., her four children: Sheila (Michael) Gambino of Duxbury, MA, John (Jack) III (Danielle) of Holderness, NH, Keith (Janelle) of Rochester, MA and Jeffrey (Katherine) of Nantucket, MA; grandchildren: Joseph and Meghan Gambino, Jake, Ryan, Chloe, Bree, Bentley and Benton Killion; Kevin and Patricia McCormick, Jalayla, Chelsea, Nicholas, Matthew, Kylee, and Bradley; her brother Donald (Juanita) Gilman, sister Elledra Presby, and brother in-law Walter Joyce; she was predeceased by her sister Terry Joyce, brother Lee Gilman and brother in-law William Presby.
Donna had a passion for the active lifestyle. A member of the Concord YMCA for 40+ years participating in many activities; an avid runner with many friends, especially Bonnie and Chris; a downhill skier on the slopes of New Hampshire, Colorado, Switzerland plus joining the grandchildren on the slopes every chance she had; a mountain and trail hiker in NH, Alaska, and the Grand Canyon; and bicycling around New England for leisure and fundraising.
Compassion driven to help others, Donna assisted several elderly people, was a seventeen-year member of the Concord Hospital Trust Rock-N-Race committee doing fundraising for the Payson Cancer Center, six years doing a 50 mile walk to raise research funds for the MS Society, two years doing a 100-mile bike ride raising funds for the Lung Association and many other local fundraising events.
Her primary leisure activity was quilting. Quilts were made as gifts for infants, family and friends and included memory quilts and especially seasonal quilts.
Vacations and family time were equally important to Donna. In 1985 the family went on a nine-week cross country tour in an RV with no electronics or TV's! It was the ultimate field trip for education and fun activities. Visits to Disney World were so popular Donna extended it to biannual visits for a couple of years.
Visiting hours will be held at Waters Funeral Home, 50 South Main Street, Concord on Thursday March 25 from 4pm – 7pm.
