Donald Francis Mayo, 87, passed away on May 14, 2022 at Concord Hospital after a long illness.

He was born in Concord on May 19, 1934 to Eugene and Anna (McDonell) Mayo.

Don graduated from New England College and went on to become an accomplished civil and structural engineer. He co-founded National Fiber Corporation with his brother, Walter. He was passionate about the outdoors. Although he loved to ski and golf, Don was never more at home than when he was on his sailboat. He lived with his family in Bow, NH, and he will be remembered for his kind heart and his sense of humor.

Donald is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years, Rita (Bonneau) Mayo; a daughter, Karen and husband Jack; a son, Thomas; his brother Walter and wife Patty; his grandchildren, Lindsey and Tate.

Private services for the family will be held at a later date.

Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Concord.
