Denis Greenwood, 69, passed away on Monday,  November 20, 2023. He was the son of the late Carrol and Rita (Liberge) Greenwood. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother-in-law, William Rand Jr.  He is survived by his sisters Carol-Ann Rand, Jacqueline (James) Stedman, Diane (William) Stevens, 6 nieces and nephews, and 14 grandnieces and grandnephews.

The family would like to acknowledge Kim and Dina, 2 very special friends, who enhanced Denis's life for many years.

Denis worked for McKerleys and Pleasant View Nursing Home and Goodwill Industries. He was an active board member of People's First, and on the board of directors for N.H. Council of Developmental Disabilities.  He was also involved in Community Bridges and CRARC.

You may not have known him by name, but many would recognize Denis, who spent many hours walking downtown and the streets of Concord.  You may have also seen him at Tandy's or Barley House most Friday and Saturday nights listening and dancing to music. He also enjoyed swimming and bowling, and really enjoyed horseback riding at UpReach Therapeutic Equestrian Center. In spite of his disability, Denis led a full and rich life and was loved by his family and many friends.

His family would like to thank the staff at The Birches and the Hospice staff for their kindness and loving care of Denis.

Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, November 29th from 4-6 pm at the Waters Funeral Home, 50 South Main Street, Concord.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 30th at 10am at Christ the King Parish, 72 South Main Street, Concord.
