Clarence John Venecek of Naples, FL, formerly of Allenstown, NH, peacefully passed away on May 31, 2024 at 94 years old. He was born on November 18th, 1929 to Clarence Sr. & Julia Venecek of Berwyn, IL. He was a graduate of Morton High School and then joined the US Navy proudly serving in the Korean War. After returning from Korea, Clarence married his sweetheart Sheila (Murphy) in 1955. They settled in Allenstown raising 4 children and were happily married for 46 years until her passing.
Clarence was employed for over 37 years at Concord Litho Co . He was an avid sportsman and a past member of the Pioneer Sportsman Club for over 40 years. He was also a lifetime member of the VFW. He loved the warm weather and lived in Florida for over 20 years. He enjoyed traveling and visited many countries. Clarence greatly enjoyed ballroom dancing and taught at the Arthur Murray dance studio in his younger days. He was dancing right up to the week prior to his passing.
Clarence had a big, beautiful smile and was a wonderful, kind, loving, outgoing individual who had a positive outlook on life. He was definitely a people person who loved to tell a joke to anyone that would listen. He lived life to the fullest which is an inspiration to us all! He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife Sheila in 2001and by his long - time companion, Ruby Whalen, in 2023.
He leaves behind his 4 children Donnajean Newry & husband Charles of Pembroke; Jerry Venecek & wife Patricia of Concord; Daniel Venecek & wife Linda Zollo of Concord and Colleen Capone and husband John of Manchester. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Kyle, Molly, Rebecca, Patrick and great grandson Cody.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday June 20th from
5-7 at the Waters Funeral Home, 50 South Main St. Concord, NH.
Funeral services will be held Friday June 21st at 10AM in the Chapel of the Waters Funeral Home.
Burial with funeral honors will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Allenstown
