Obituary

Beverly Ann (Taylor) Paul was born in Nashua NH on June 3, 1953. Bev (call me "Bev") was the oldest daughter of Helen Pratt and Emmanuel Chamberland. She attended school in Concord, NH at Rumford and Walker where she made many lifelong friends. She grew up living close to the Paul family where she met her best friend and partner David Alan Paul.

Together, Beverly and David had a love that will echo through the universe for all time. Their commitment to each other and their daughters and grandchildren set the foundation for their family to grow and thrive.

Bev was dedicated to her family and worked hard to provide for us. She wasn't afraid of getting her hands dirty or breaking a nail or taking on a challenge. She was a jack of all trades and would give any project a college try. She worked as an operator for New England Telephone back when they had switchboards, in Las Vegas, NV as a property manager and part-time Casino staff,  then back in NH at Sprague Electric and Energy Improvements. When her youngest daughter graduated high school Bev decided that she wanted a career change and she worked hard to obtain her LNA license. She spent the following years caring for our elderly and most vulnerable neighbors for NeuroRestorative with adults suffering from brain injuries along with Home Instead helping care for seniors in-home during their aging years. She took great pride in the care that she provided for her residents. She was never afraid to stand up for someone if she saw mistreatment or injustice and she instilled these values into her children.

She had remarkable sales and retail ideas, with an artistic flair that truly helped with the success of the Spank Alley Skate & Board Shop which she helped run for several years, in her "off" time, she was a one-of-a-kind go-getter! She loved arts & crafts with the grandchildren, even started 'Kozy Kids Krafts' and 'Arts from Parts' and showed their wears at area craft fairs for several years.

Bev is survived by her best friend and partner David Paul, her daughters Melody Cremone (and son-in-law Francis) of Concord and Jessica Paul of Chichester. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Addison Curtis, MacKenzie Curtis, and Genevieve Smith-Paul. Her time spent as their "Meme" was the best years of her life. She loved attending all their events, taking them to Hampton and Old Orchard, or Wellington State Park where she'd set everything up before their arrival and surprise them with a day of making joyful memories. For years the family would travel to vacation in the White Mountains where she would love to drive around for hours searching for Moose. After years of absolutely no luck, she learned that the moose don't come out in November! She planned a trip to Moose Alley in Colebrook on a nice June weekend and finally got to meet her moose up close and personal when one shoved his head through the passenger window to say hello. It was a memory that she laughed about for years. She also loved taking her grandchildren to the fair. She started many traditions that our family will continue to pass down for years to come.

Bev had an intrinsic wit. Her sense of humor and love for pranks was well known throughout the family. In the summer it was likely that if you caught mom outside using the hose you'd end up drenched if you were within her reach. On your birthday your cake might be a cake or could be a giant frosted water balloon that once popped then presents the real cake. Christmas gifts would be wrapped in multiple layers with several boxes covered in duct tape. With Bev, you never knew what would happen next. She loved to keep us on our toes and laughing.

There are no words to describe what this loss means to our family. A year and a half ago mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer. She fought so hard but unfortunately, the disease was too far progressed for treatment to be successful. Mom refused to complain and often told us that she was doing just fine. Her strength and resilience came as no surprise as she faced all things in life with the same boldness and courage that we all know and admire. Don't fret, we'll take good care of your lilacs Mom.

Bev passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday morning surrounded by her loving family. Along with her children and grandchildren, Bev is survived by her mother, Helen Pratt, her sisters Patricia Smith, Susan Anguish, and Beatrice Manthy, her brothers Joseph Chamberland, Gilbert Chamberland, and Emmanuel Chamberland, their spouses, former spouses, many beloved nieces and nephews (great nieces/nephews) and many cousins and extended family throughout New Hampshire and beyond.

She is predeceased by her dad, Emmanuel Chamberland, and daughter Melacynt Kristie.

At Bev's request calling hours will not be held. The family plans to hold a `celebration of life' at a later date.
