Barbara Economides, age 82, of School Street, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026 after injuries sustained in a car accident in York, Maine.

She was born in North Epirus, Greece, daughter of the late Epaminondas and Paraskevi (Chortis) Economides. She was a graduate of St. John’s High School and received her degree in accounting from Concord Community College.

Barbara was employed by the State of New Hampshire, Administrative Services, Division of Information Services, for over 40 years. She owned and operated the Archway Restaurant in Concord and later worked for many years at the Common Man in Concord. Throughout these years, Barbara made numerable friends. A kind and gentle soul, she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her brother, Ernest Economides; her nephew, Christian Economides, and her niece Alisa Prescott.

She is survived by her brother, Thomas Economides of Penacook; her niece, Nicole Delessio of Concord, and close friends, Margaret Gegas and John Gegas.

Barbara enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her beautiful flower garden. She was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and loved singing in the church choir. She was also a member of the Ladies Philoptochos Society.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, July 6th from 4 to 6 pm at the Waters Funeral Home, 50 South Main Street, Concord.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 7th at 10 AM at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 68 North State Street, Concord. Burial will follow in Blossom Hill Cemetery.
