Mamos
October 14, 1939 – July 26, 2022
Adele J. Mamos, age 82 of Concord, NH passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022 at her home surrounded
by her family.
She was born in Webster, MA the daughter of the late Lucien and Lucille (Dumont) Pelletier.
Adele worked as a hairdresser when she first moved to Concord. She was instrumental in the
establishment and successful running of the Gas Lighter Restaurant in Concord with her husband Greg
for 12 years, she also co-owned and operated a local convenience store in Concord. She later worked for
NH Savings Bank as a teller, and the Concord School District in the Food Services Department.
Adele was a thoughtful and giving person who spent much of her time volunteering with various local
organizations, including Concord Regional Arc, Inc., NH Special Olympics, St Peter's Church and the
Concord Hospital Cardiac Rehabilitation Services where she was a volunteer for over 15 years.
Adele's greatest love in life was for her family, and her time as a devoted wife, mother and
grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends at her summer cottage on Highland
Lake.
Adele is survived by her husband, Gregory T. Mamos of Concord; her son Thomas Mamos of Concord;
and two daughters, Theresa Mamos of Concord, and Christine Ryerson and her husband Thomas of
Pembroke; one grandson, Cameron Ryerson of Pembroke; and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her two brothers, Clement Pelletier S.J. and Vincent Pelletier.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 from 4 to 6 PM at the Waters Funeral Home, 50
South Main Street, Concord.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 10:00am at Christ the
King Parish, 72 South Main Street, Concord.
Burial will follow at the Blossom Hill Cemetery in Concord.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Concord Regional Arc, Inc.
