A Jean Eckhardt, 90, a long-time resident of Pittsfield, N.H. went home to be with the Lord on June 5, 2020.  She joins her late husband Ralph F. Eckhardt, also a longtime resident of Pittsfield.

She is survived by Debbie Davis, Denise Hill, Duane and Cindy Elkins, and Tom and Dawn Welch.  She was loved by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jean was born in Waltham, MA in 1930 and moved to New Hampshire in 1942.  She was a graduate of Pittsfield High School and attended Margret's Beauty School in Concord, NH.  She loved curling our hair, #pinkrollers. Jean worked most of her years at Blue Cross/Blue Shield and retired after over 20 years.

Over the years, "Jeanie Girl" loved camping with Ralph; they traveled the State. Her highlight trip in life was to Hawaii in 1990. What a joy it was to see her so happy.  Her love was sports. Basketball and football were her favorite.  Can you hear her still cheering?

She also had a love for flowers.  In her last days flowers brought her much joy.  Thank you to all of her kind friends and neighbors who brought them to her house.

Friends and family will gather at a later date in the fall.
